Disney Troupe Information PacketGeneral Info
We will be taking a group of our dancers to perform at Disney World in Orlando, FL. We will perform a 20 minute variety dance performance at Disney World (most likely at Disney Springs) the weekend of January 22-24 ,2027. Performance is limited to 70 performers, dancers will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Parents will be responsible for traveling with and chaperoning their child for the duration of the trip. Disney offers significantly discounted park ticket packages to the dancers and their families. Participation fees will apply, see below. We are thrilled to offer this awesome opportunity to our dancers ages 7-18 as of August 31, 2026. To be eligible dancers must be enrolled in a Jazz, Tap, and a third dance class for the 2026/2027 season at Dance Discovery
Application for Disney TroupeÂ
Dancers, ages 7-18, are invited to apply for the Disney Troupe. Dancers will be selected for the Disney Troupe on a first come first served basis, and will be placed into groups based on their knowledge and their dancing ability during casting day 8/29. Do not submit an application unless you are 100% committed to your dancer participating. Please submit the Disney Troupe Commitment Contract by July 1, 2026. A $325 deposit will be processed upon receipt of Disney Troupe Commitment Contract.
Casting Day
Dancers must attend the casting day Aug 29, 2026 from 3-5pm at Dance Discovery in order to be cast in the Disney Troupe.Â

RehearsalsÂ
Mandatory Disney Troupe Choreography sessions will be held on 9/12, 9/26, 10/10, 10/24,11/7Â
11/14 (dancers attending Celebrity Dance Convention will be excused from this rehearsal), 12/5, 1/9, 1/16 between 2:30-6:30pm. Exact rehearsal times will vary depending on casting and student class schedules, and will be sent out at least 1 week prior (not all dancers will be called the full rehearsal). All rehearsals are mandatory. If your dancer is absent then it could result in reduction of stage time and/or removal from the Disney Troupe, without refund. Dress Rehearsal on Saturday January 16, dancers will not be allowed to perform if they are not in attendance. If your dancer has a known conflict with any of the rehearsal dates please speak to the director prior to filling out this application.Â
Participation FeeÂ
The participation fee is $650 which includes rehearsals, costume rental, cast t-shirt, performance fees, and performer transportation behind the scenes at Disney on our performance day. The non-refundable deposit of $325 is due with your application and the remaining $325 will be auto-charged on November 13th. Substantially discounted Park Tickets are also REQUIRED for participation for an additional fee on the table below. Â
CostumesÂ
Costumes will remain property of Dance Discovery. Dancers will need to provide their own nude basic/undergarment leotard, tan tights and tan jazz shoes. Select dancers will also need to provide tan character shoes. Select dancers will also need to purchase Hip-Hop sneakers.Â
Airfare / TransportationÂ
Parents will be solely responsible for traveling with and chaperoning their child for the duration of the trip. The intention is that families make a vacation out of this opportunity. If you wish to coordinate with another family to chaperone your dancer, you may do so but we are unable to facilitate that. All travel arrangements and accommodations are the responsibility of the individual family. Families are free to choose their own travel dates and accommodations on or off Disney Property. We require that all performers arrive in Orlando no later than 9:00 pm on Friday, January 22nd.Â
Hotel / Lodging
Families are free to stay wherever they wish in Orlando, FL. We encourage families to book accommodations as soon as possible.
Disney Park Ticket PackagesÂ
All performers are required to purchase one of the Disney Performing Arts Park ticket package below. You are also able to purchase the performer ticket package for all additional guests (chaperones, parents, siblings, etc.) at the same performer rate. Selection of your preferred Ticket Package and payment for Ticket Packages selection is due September 1st Ticket Packages will be charged September 15th. JANUARY TRIP IS DURING REGULAR SEASON PRICING.Â
Ticket TypesÂ
- Starter Ticket Package: This ticket is valid for admission to one of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks (one Park per day) for each day of this ticket.Â
- Park Hopper® Ticket Package: This ticket is valid for admission to one or more of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks for each day of the ticket (with the freedom to visit multiple Parks on the same day).Â
- Premium Ticket Package: Tickets include the Park Hopper® Option and Water Park and Sports Option. The Water Park and Sports Option includes Fun visits to additional locations at the Walt Disney World Resort. The number of Fun visits granted is equal to the number of days included in the ticket package purchased. Example: If a guest purchases a 3-Day PREMIUM Ticket, they will be entitled three (3) Fun visits. Fun visits may be used at the following locations: Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, r Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course or Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course, One (1) round of FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course.

Important Notes for 2027
- To enter a Park, both a reservation and a valid ticket or pass for the same Park on the same date are required. Parks and other offerings may be limited in capacity and subject to limited availability or closure, and Park admission and offerings are not guaranteed.
- The Park Hopper® Option allows Guests to visit more than one Park per day. Guests must make a Park reservation via the Disney Park Pass reservation system for the first Park they plan to visit. After entering that first Park, Guests will be able to visit the next Park starting at 2 PM until each Park’s regularly scheduled closure, subject to the Park’s capacity limitations. At this time, a Park reservation is not required after the first Park, however, reservation requirements are subject to change.
