Dance Discovery TeamsParticipating in a team at Dance Discovery is for our most committed and talented dancers. Our award-winning teams offer an advanced placement training program reaching beyond that of our public studio classes. Dancers receive training from hand-selected expert instructors holding university degrees in dance. Our teams are all part of the Petrichor Dance Connection umbrella.
Our Petrichor Dance Connection curriculum is designed especially for dancers with an interest and aptitude for the serious study of dance. Annual auditions are held for team placement across a variety of dance styles and various ages. Petrichor is looking for dancers who would benefit from an extra challenge and additional performance opportunities. Petrichor dancers have great attitudes and love showing up for class.
Dancerellas is a Primary dance team that focuses on building up dancers who love to perform. We do this by creating foundations in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. Dancers who are a part of this team will receive training from hand-selected expert instructors holding university degrees in dance.
Petrichor looks for dancers who would benefit from an extra challenge and additional performance opportunities. Petrichor dancers have great attitudes and love showing up for class. This team aims to help dancers build camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.

- Dancerella team only class (1.5 hr class)

The Starbound Team is a Level I dance team that focuses on progressive training in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Tap. Dancers who are a part of this team will receive training from hand-selected expert instructors holding university degrees in dance.
This team aims to help dancers build camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of belonging through challenging group choreography.
Petrichor is looking for dancers who would benefit from an extra challenge and additional performance opportunities. Starbound Dancers have great attitudes and love showing up for class.
Required Classes:
- 1 level 1 Ballet Class
- 1 level 1 Jazz/Tap
- 1 team rehearsal
- Optional Level 1 Modern (highly recommended class)
- 2 choreography workshops (one summer, one winter)

The Dreamcatcher Dance Team is a Level II dance team that focuses on progressive training in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. Dancers who are a part of this team will receive training from hand-selected expert instructors holding university degrees in dance.
This team aims to help dancers build camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of belonging through challenging group choreography .
Petrichor is looking for dancers who have the drive and commitment to further their unique craft. This team aims to help dancers recognize their true potential and assist them in developing their own personal goals by providing them with the tools and support it takes to achieve them.

Ensemble is an intermediate level dance team that focuses on progressive training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, & Modern. Dancers who are a part of this team will receive training from hand-selected expert instructors holding university degrees in dance.
This team aims to help dancers build camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of belonging through challenging group choreography .

Discovery Crew is an advanced hip hop team that launches dancers beyond the level of community classes. It is a competition team that also focuses on hip hop training, rhythm, strength and conditioning. Students thrive when given the opportunity to push themselves to compete. This team aims to help dancers build camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.
