Dance Discovery Company

The Petrichor Company is an advanced level dance team that focuses on progressive training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Modern. Dancers who are a part of this team will receive training from hand-selected expert instructors holding University Degrees in Dance.

Our Company reminds its members that dancing is a gratifying endeavor that infuses life with purpose and joy. Dancers that continue their study through college and beyond can find satisfaction in a career of performing with a dance company, teaching, or working in the theatre. Dancers who pursue an entirely different career will benefit from the practice of critical thinking and the collaborative work process that is developed within the company. These skills will serve to elevate students to greatness in any path of life they choose to follow.

This team aims to help dancers recognize their true potential and assist them in developing their own personal goals by providing them with the tools and support it takes to achieve them.

PHOTOSHOOTS

Company dancers have a Professional Dance Photo session to help build a portfolio of dance photos and provide dancers with a standout headshot.

GUEST CHOREOGRAPHY

Our Staff’s Professional connections have provided our teams with opportunities to have professional choreography placed on them during their summer choreography workshops. Prices will vary depending on means of travel and choreography fee.

COMPANY APPAREL

Company Requirements

Required Classes (weekly):

  • 1.5 hour team ballet class
  • 1 hour Jazz
  • 45 min leaps/turns
  • 30 min drills/core/leaps 
  • 30 min conditioning x 2
  • 1 hour Contemporary 
  • 1 hour Modern  
  • 1 hour Acro
  • 2 hour company rehearsal
  • 1.5 hour ballet class
  • .5 hour pointe
  • 1.5 hour Ballet Technique 
  • 30 min deep stretch
  • 1 hour company choreography
